Search Dark Elites' Professions Online!

Need help making something but don't know who to ask? Well now you can with Appono's application (made March 30, 2009). Brilliant work Appono!

The DE Profession List can be found at dark-elites.com/professions.html.

The application is quite simple right now and is categorized. Just use the drop down menu to select what profession you are searching for and names of the guild members that have that profession will pop up, along with what level they have in the profession.

That's it! Easy isn't it? No more asking in guild chat who's a Hammer Smithmagus. The information is right here, with just one click of a button!

As I mentioned earlier, the application is quite simple right now. Soon, it will be tweaked and the profession list will automatically update itself each month.

It still needs a lot of work. Just wanted to get something up. Some of my plans are -

1.) Style the results list

2.) Add a second dropdown to filter by number of slots

3.) Sort results by level

4.) Add tooltips showing success rates for each result.

5.) Allow alts to be added.

6.) Server side search for gracefull fallback if javascript is disabled.

7.) Fix the header image so old IE versions don't make it look crappy.

Idk, it works for me.

Works fine for me also. I'm using firefox on a linux os. Maybe browser differences are causing trouble?

hmm. A few people have reported that it doesn't work for them. Probably due to browser differences. It's pretty simple code but I'll look into it.

I use firefox too, but on windows, and it works.

Turns out it wasn't working in IE. Nothing I did wrong. IE's fault (again). Worked in Firefox, Chrome, Opera..

Anyway it should work for everyone now.

Ok, because I've recieved a few requests I'll now be adding alts. The problem with this is if someone leaves the guild it will remove them (eventually ^^) so alts need to be linked to mains somehow. For now it will be manual.

If you want your alt added, please post the name here (with correct capitalization please).

Chiu, doesn't matter. If you want any prof alts listed post em here. Regardless of if they're on the same account. I could automatically grab ones from the same acct. but that would mean making 4 times as many requests to Ankama's servers. Don't want to spam them.

I have no idea why you're not. You're on the ladder and it seemed to add you fine. Added Cp's alt fine too. hrm.. I'll try and figure out why.

I have some alt with interesting professions:
Gothda
Gowthern
Gothyop

Not sure what the guild thinks about professions in alt characters that are not in Dark Elites guild. I asked in guild channel in game, I looked for that info around forum, but I am pretty bad surfing in forum. So no idea, I just post it and you do what you use to do.

Ok, my professions (they are all on the same account as the sadi):

100 baker
100 farmer
100 alchemist
100 miner
87 lumberjack
100 handyman
70 jeweler/100magus

and some other low ones.

Mattson is a lvl 90 lj now =p In case you feel like updating

Little update: my handyman is level 100 now ^^
So, if anyone needs any keys made, you're always welcome to ask
Also, if anyone ever needs prisms - I got tons of them, so you can just ask as well.
